For more than 40 years, the power of our bloodline produces consistent and instantly recognizable type and overall conformation

For more than four decades, our kennel has been a wonderful family interest and activity. Our daughter Paula, (Paula Henkin Honigman) was a dedicated junior handler, professional groomer and trainer for the Alaskan Malamute Association of Long Island. Throughout the years, she has maintained active involvement in developing and perpetuating the Uyak bloodline. An MBA and former VP Marketing at Citigroup and McGraw Hill, she is currently pursuing full time, an MSW at Stony Brook University, and is an active member of several all breed kennel clubs. Our son Jon, a Ph.D. from University of Texas in Micropaleontology, trained and worked our dogs pulling sleds and is now teaching and doing science research. My wife Lois, is now retired from feeding dogs, raising puppies and cleaning kennels. Lois and I celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary in 2003. Professionally, I am a retired public school Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction from Flushing, New York and Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Education, St. John's University, Jamaica New York.
